ROOF PROTECTION

Roof protection (against artillery fragments and bomblets)

In the area of roof protection, GEKE offers various protection modules that can be combined with each other. As protection against bomblets, the variants RoofProtect and IGEL jamming body are available, which can be supplemented with protection against fragments, AP/APDS or small bombs based on the shaped charge principle, as required. Among others, we have developed and mass-produced roof protection elements for PzH 2000, KPz Leopard 2, SPz Puma and GTK Boxer.

Our patented roof protection currently in use makes it possible to defend against these threats with an extremely low weight per unit area.

SIDE PROTECTION

Side protection (against KE, EFP and shaped charges)

The side protection can be designed very individually according to the customer’s ideas. The variants cover all KE threats of STANAG 4569. An upgrade against projectile forming charges can be added according to customer requirements.

Protection (passive and reactive) against shaped charge threats is the special strength of GEKE Schutztechnik GmbH.

INTERIOR

Interior (liner – against splinters inside the vehicle)

In the interior of a protected vehicle, liners can significantly reduce the impact of projectiles even if the protection has been penetrated. The processed liner products can be aramid-based or based on ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), e.g. Dyneema.

MINE PROTECTION

Mine protection (against blast and projectile-forming mines)

The mine protection for the IFV PUMA produced in series by GEKE has the highest underbelly protection level used by the german armed forces. It protects against blast threats and projectile-forming mines. Its low weight and special production method make this protection solution unique.
